Synopsis
Martin is guardian angel of sorts who night after night watches over El Jardin, the extravagant cemetery of Mexico's most notorious drug lords. Since the war on drugs began in 2007, the cemetery has doubled in size and some of its mausoleums have been built to resemble gaudy and ornate cathedrals. Here, we are introduced to both the guilty and the innocent, the perpetrators and the families of the victims, as their lives intersect in the shadow of an increasingly bloody conflict that has claimed nearly 35,000 lives.
