Synopsis
Hong Kong homicide detectives hunt for a serial killer who is targeting police officers and their families. When they finally catch their suspect Chan Kit, a shy street vendor from an outlying village, the main focus of their interrogation is to uncover the motives behind these murders. A flashback then takes us back to Kit's village and his infatuation with a school girl named Wing who lives with her overprotective grandmother. When her grandmother suddenly passes away, Kit takes on the role of Wing's guardian angel. However, one day the duo encounters a belligerent drunkard and Kit's failure to protect Wing ignites a devastating chain of events.
