Synopsis
Follows three families through three parallel stories. Birgitta decides to break her lease to move in with yet another man, leaving her son, Simon, without a place to stay. Simon's dad, Tomas, would seem like the person to turn to, but he has given up on the living and now keeps company with the dead. Lina asks for a divorce from her husband Gunnar who decides to write a book on the cruel ways of love and marriage. Their newly graduated son, Bjorn, gets an apartment on his own where he ponders his identity and his thoughts lead him into an unexpected territory. And finally, there is Ida and Kristoffer who share a tragic heritage which they are struggling to break free from. Kristoffer does his best to help his mother through her fits of rage, while wishing for a less complicated life. Ida, on the other hand, tries all kinds of remedies for her affliction to no avail, and eventually, the source of her problems is traced to her genetic makeup.
