Synopsis

Thinking he is going to a costume ball, William Judd, heir to a fortune, accompanies his scheming aunt and uncle to an insane asylum dressed as Napoleon Bonaparte. Inside, the doctors refuse to release Judd, because the relatives have told them about Judd's "delusion of grandeur." Among the inmates Judd finds a girl dressed as the Empress Josephine (actually a nurse sent to humor him), and they escape from the institution with the entire group of inmates following in their wake. Judd arrives home in time to expose his relatives' avarice to his lawyer. Assured of the nurse's sanity, Judd offers her his heart and his fortune.
