Synopsis

Robert Strickland is placed on trial for the murder of his business associate, Gerald Trask, and for the robbery of $20,000 from Trask's safe. Put on the stand, Strickland confesses his guilt and requests that the trial be terminated. The request is denied, and Mrs. Trask takes the stand, relating the events of the night of the murder: Strickland shot her husband and was immediately captured by Glover, her husband's secretary; a shadowy accomplice, however, escaped. The following day, Strickland's small daughter, Doris, is placed on the stand and informs the jury that on the day of the murder her father had discovered that her mother had spent the day with Trask. On the third day of the trial, Mrs. Strickland takes the stand and exposes Trask as a blackmailer and lecher. Glover is later discovered to have stolen the money, and Strickland, found innocent of the charge of premeditated murder, is released to find comfort with his loving family.
