This was the only film in the series in which the main character is not called "Old Mother Riley" in the title. Still, many sources have incorrectly referred to this film as "Old Mother Riley Meets the Vampire."
The last film in the "Old Mother Riley" series. It was also the last film for Arthur Lucan who continued to make live stage appearances.
This was the only film in the "Old Mother Riley" series in which Arthur Lucan's long time partner and wife, Kitty McShane, did not appear as Mrs Riley's daughter. Lucan and McShane had a very bitter separation in 1951.
