Synopsis
Down and out in Paris, François "Spike" Rothschild and his friend, Flit, are picked up by the authorities and taken to the police station. When the police learn Rothschild's name, they contact an official of the eminent Rothschild family who determines that Spike is no relation, but gives him 2,000 francs nonetheless. Spike then takes the money to a bank that is on the verge of failure. Because of his deposit, Spike is hired as bank secretary, and the president later names him as his successor.
