Synopsis
A trio of Turkish brothers living in Belgium redefine family dynamics after their father's death. Two of the siblings embody the opposite poles of assimilation. Eldest brother Ediz represents his late father's patriarchal authoritarian ways, discouraging his wife from learning Dutch while he himself revives an affair with a Flemish former flame. The youngest brother, adolescent Bora, is too ready to conform--technologically addicted and prone to whatever mischief his assorted delinquent pals dream up. But the main focus here is on the middle son, Timur, an art museum guard and trumpet player, who strikes a perfect balance between honoring his heritage and opening his mind to his adoptive country.
