Synopsis

Frustrated with the ineffectiveness of letter writing campaigns, and peaceful protests silenced by the brutality of police forces, Eugene native Jake Ferguson and several accomplices formed the ELF as a way to pursue more controversial protest tactics. A horse slaughtering plant, an SUV dealership and a $12 million ski lodge, were all burnt to the ground by the ELF, vying for attention to issues that usually remain ignored. After four years following the arsons, the FBI traces the crimes to Ferguson, who agrees to sell out his accomplices for a chance at freedom.
