Synopsis
A search for the answer to "what is beauty". Famous artists, photographers and architects expound upon their idea about beauty. For photographer Jock Sturges, beauty can be found in the absence of shame. According to designer Ingo Maurer, it has a lot more to do with violating conventional norms. But even Miss Brazil 2010, a Japanese tea master, a psychiatrist and a host of plastic surgeons from around the world provide their points of view. Meanwhile, we follow three people who become acquainted with plastic surgery for very different reasons. We see the influence the procedures have on their lives and their perception of self. Through their experience and others, we not only learn about the meaning of beauty through words, but also in images.
