Synopsis

Jenny, a Korean woman in her late twenties, lives with her New Zealand boyfriend, James, in a small apartment in Auckland. When they discover that Jenny is pregnant, James seems eager to get a marriage certificate to prevent Jenny from being deported after her current student visa expires. On the appointed day of the ceremony at the registry office, James does not show up. No one knows of James' whereabouts. Jenny begins a search for him, and along the way, she meets a debt collector from a local Korean magazine who has been trying to track down Jenny's boss, the owner of a Korean video rental store. After all traces of James dry up, Jenny tries to return to her normal life. However, she realizes that not only is her body changing but so are people's perception of her. Jenny finds herself isolated and is forced to look inside herself for answers.
