Synopsis
Determined to set aright some dishonest transactions perpetrated by his brother, Larry Kelland goes to Indochina where he is sold some worthless swampland for a tea plantation by Castro, a shady cafe owner. Kelland becomes acquainted with Tamarah, a native girl who works for Castro, and marries her--protecting her from Castro. After 5 years of struggle and hard work Kelland's old flame, Claire Winton, once a gold digger and now a wealthy widow, reappears and tries to ruin his marriage. She succeeds for a time, but Kelland sees her purpose and retrieves Tamarah from the cafe. Meanwhile, the discovery of oil on Kelland's plantation contributes to their future happiness.
