Synopsis

The Ramblin' Kid acquires an unjustified reputation by pretending drunkenness and playfully shooting up the town of Eagle Butte. While professing a scorn for women, he falls for June, who comes to visit his employer--her uncle, Colonel Josh, a rancher. His clumsiness in courtship is overcome when he saves June from quicksand after her horse falls over a cliff. The Kid corrals a wild mare and prepares to run her in the annual rodeo sweepstakes. Mike Wilson, owner of the favorite, has The Kid drugged before the race, but he rides and wins. When Wilson tries to abscond with the wager money, The Kid captures him and reveals the plot; reinstated in the esteem of his friends, he finds happiness with June.
