Synopsis
Fourteen-year-old Felicity, the daughter of Helen and John Hughes, becomes distraught when she learns that her well-to-do parents are getting divorced because her mother has become infatuated with Hilliard, an actor. When Felicity's father has her testify at the divorce hearing, she lies about her mother's relationship with the actor in order to protect Helen's reputation. Afterward, Felicity attempts suicide, but fails, an act which brings her parents back together in their mutual concern for their daughter.
