Synopsis

A female film director arrives in Hollywood to document the lives of three aspiring stars (two actors and an actress), who share a hilltop house. Because she cannot obtain artistic freedom from her studio, the director attempts suicide. The actors' idyll is also interrupted by the assassination of Robert Kennedy, graphically reported on their television, and by the shooting of Andy Warhol. The film is framed by scenes from Michael McClure's The Beard .
