Synopsis
Joan works in a waterfront dive in San Francisco as a dance hall hostess. She is befriended by Denny, who encourages her to leave the place. After Joan leaves, Charlie Wong, a Tong gang leader, finds her wandering the streets of Chinatown and takes her to the Salvation Army, where she again meets Denny. Joan learns that Denny is a government agent who has been assigned to capture Wong. Both Denny and Joan are captured by the Tong and are condemned to death. At the price of his own life, Wong allows Joan to escape and bring the police, who rescue Denny.
