Synopsis
Young and idealistic Niko struggles to get a film made in the USSR in the face of state crackdowns and government interference. Confronted with many obstacles, he leaves his homeland for France, what he perceives as the land of freedom and democracy. However, his hopes are quickly dashed as he only finds more of the same, only here the creative interference is based on economics rather than politics.
