Synopsis

A portrait of Polish Colonel Ryszard Kuklinski who provided the CIA with more than 40,000 strategic documents from the Warsaw Pact during the Cold War. Kuklinski realized that a war between the superpowers would destroy Poland so he decided to work with the CIA. On a daily basis from 1972 to 1981, Kuklinski worked alongside his comrades while secretly smuggling documents to the West. When suspicions start to rise, Kuklinski fled with his family to the United States. While in hiding, Kuklinski suffered the real tragedy of his life as he had to deal with personal losses plus accept that the world he saved saw him a traitor.
