Synopsis

Adventurer Johnny Banco runs a gambling casino in Barcelona. After stealing 100 million francs from gangster Orso Sebastiani, a bogus antique dealer, Johnny flees to Monte Carlo. Followed by Orso's hired killers, Johnny, masquerading as a millionaire, entices and marries Laureen Moore, a wealthy American widow. Learning of the wedding, Orso, accompanied by Banco's mistress Nati, goes to Monte Carlo and wins back the entire fortune, compelling Johnny to contemplate killing Laureen for her inheritance. Although Orso murders Laureen, Johnny is accused of the crime. A final struggle between the two men settles the affair.
