Synopsis
In the world's largest landfill on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, garbage pickers make their living by scavenging through the discards of others for recyclable materials. Brazilian artist Vik Muniz, who utilizes the landfill for trash that he uses in his work, documents the trash pickers, revealing the transformative power of art and the beauty of the human spirit.
