Synopsis

Terry Culver, scapegrace son of the wealthy owner of the Culver Rubber Tire Co., is sent to Kansas to assume charge of a branch office, accompanied by Homer, a Negro chauffeur, who is to keep Terry straight and warn him against women. En route, Terry gives aid to Judy Gaylord, daughter of a colonel in the U. S. Cavalry. Later, at a reception, she is offended by his impudence and tells him she confines her romances to Army circles, thus causing him to enlist. Learning that Terry is responsible for the orchids she receives daily, she gives them to an officer to feed to his horse. With the help of Jane, Terry excels in the color guard, earning the secret admiration of Judy; but he incurs the jealousy of Lieutenant Allen and is arrested for striking him. Jane enters the steeplechase and is hurt in a fall; Terry rescues her but is knocked unconscious by another horse, awakening the sympathy of the colonel's daughter.
