Synopsis
In 1577, the couturier Pic Saint Loup receives a grand commission from King Henry III: create the most beautiful wedding dress for the marriage of his nephew to a Spanish noble girl. With his band of merry men in tow, Pic Saint Loup sets off to Spain--a hot seat of fundamental Catholicism where Protestants, Jews, Moors and homosexuals are quickly dealt with. Not exactly straight himself, Saint Loup's faithful secretary is a Protestant, his perfumer a Jew, his hairdresser is a flamboyant queen and there's a Moor in his entourage. As it turns out, the father of the bride-to-be is the notorious grand inquisitor of Córdoba. Pic Saint Loup wants nothing more than to bring a hint of pink into life, but finds himself in the darkest of blacks.
