Synopsis
A soon-to-be retired detective named Kuo lives alone in a shabby hotel and is holding on tightly to his dark past after divorcing his wife and separating from his family. While hiding his identity, he takes care of a girl who works as a street vendor, and looks after her mother by volunteering at a hospital. After being kidnapped, beaten up and dumped in a forest by a suspicious gang, he is distressed remembering the tortures he inflicted on people long ago. He confesses to the girl that he tortured her father and fabricated crimes in the past.
