Synopsis
On a cold, dark desert night. a young woman emerges like a creature from the sea, heading unsteadily toward the dawn. In the full light of morning, the young woman, Em, is found by a group of Native Americans. They take her to the home of Ed and his granddaughter Jerica on a Native American reservation in Southern Arizona. During her first few days on the reserve, Em is a woman near death. Initially, she finds pleasure and solace with the young Jerica. As the days pass, she grows healthier in body and mind, but events from her past that brought her to this point start to claim her spirit again. However, she is embraced by the community of the reservation and the people there play a vital role in exorcising her demons.
