Synopsis
Seven-year-old Alessandro lost his father when he was just a toddler, and is being raised by his single mother, Giulia. One day in their quiet suburb, Alessandro wakes to the sound of a car engine. He sees his mother leaving with his uncle Claudio and he chases after them, screaming for them to stop. But by the time Alessandro catches up to the car, he only sees their abandoned crashed car and an ambulance taking off. In shock, he is taken to a police station. Between tears, Alessandro claims that he caused the accident by manipulating the brakes on the car. The detective in charge of the case is patient and asks Alessandro to tell him the whole story. The boy begins to tell about the return of his uncle Claudio, and how upon his arrival, Alessandro began to be tormented by visions. The arrival of Claudio also created a lot of changes in his life--he began to court Giulia, Alessandro's mother who never remarried after losing her husband, and he put up the family home for sale. Alessandro explains as his frustration and unhappiness continues to grow.
