Synopsis
To pay off gambling debts, Fred Langlois steals a fortune in jewels from one of the largest crime syndicates in Paris. Fabienne, Fred's ex-wife, agrees to shelter him in her country home. After learning that she is involved in a lesbian relationship with her housemate Sybil, Fred seduces Fabienne and tries to regain her love. [In the original version, Fablenne and Sybil are sisters, and no lesbian relationship is involved.] The racketeers abduct and torture Sybil in an effort to force her to divulge Fred's whereabouts. Max Savelan, a private detective, intervenes, breaks the case, exposes the syndicate and its boss, Henri, and recovers the jewels. Max makes love with Sybil, and Fred is reunited with Fabienne.
