Synopsis
In this story of appetites, when a patron dies in his restaurant, possibly from food poisoning, successful Montreal chef Gus goes to Thailand to learn the Zen of cooking. There he meets Lek, who promises to make Gus the best Thai chef in Montreal and they begin a romantic relationship. After Gus begins to wonder if he is Lek's student, lover or prisoner, he turns to a guru who promises enlightenment and then returns to Montreal only to fall under the spell of another woman.
