Synopsis
Yugong Yishan (translated as "the old fool who moved the mountains") is the name of three disparate entities. It is the title of an ancient Chinese fable about a man whose perseverance allowed him to move a mountain. One of the stories in the Chairman Mao's Little Red Book that he required everyone to memorize during the Cultural Revolution. And finally, it is the name of an independent music bar in Beijing. Across three generations, this disparate trio are contextualized within a story about a kind of modest eccentricity that can change the world through patience and diligence.
