Synopsis
When celebrated British explorer Sir John Franklin and his crew of 128 died while trying to find the Northwest Passage, reports were issued that the group had fallen into insanity and cannibalism before their deaths. The reports came from John Ray, a doctor who worked for the Hudson's Bay Company, and the Admiralty and Franklin's widow responded by waging a campaign to discredit him and characterize the entire nation of Inuit as cannibals.
