Synopsis
Follows various adolescent migrant workers during the 2009 harvest, working in fields throughout the spring, summer and early fall until they return to school in early November, struggle to catch up, only to be forced to leave school again the following April. The documentary aims to confront the uncomfortable truth that the very food we eat is supplied in large measure by youngsters who are themselves underfed and overworked.

Project will revisit Edward R. Murrow's "Harvest of Shame" in order to reveal how little has changed over the past 5 decades in the lives of migrant farm workers in America. Murrow's last major TV milestone, which aired on CBS reports in 1960, was a documentary on the plight of migrant farm workers in the United States, produced by David Lowe.
