Synopsis

Baba, a ten year old boy, after the death of his mother, becomes one of the 2 million AIDS orphans in Malawi a country located in Southeast Africa. He runs away from an orphanage when a European couple visiting the country decides to adopt him. He meets Jo, an eleven-year-old refugee from Liberia and the two become friends. Baba learns to play the drums and one day Ben Michael Mankhamba, a popular Malawian musician sees him playing in the streets and offers him the chance to play in his band. However, Jo steals the musician's phone, and disappears and Baba is dragged into a seemingly endless chain of complications.
