Synopsis
Jimmy is a struggling Elvis impersonator with no money, no job and three failed marriages. At the same time, Donna is struggling with her marriage, her life and her explosive daughter, Lisa. When larger-than-life-Donna meets Bible-thumping Jimmy, nothing will ever be the same again. The adventure begins when Donna brings Jimmy home to live with her and her accommodating husband, Jerry. With visions of success, Donna gambles their entire life savings and family stability on the dream of promoting Jimmy in her own lavish Elvis production in East Peoria. Although the show fails to rocket Jimmy to stardom, Donna never gives up her dream of turning the down-and-out Elvis impersonator into a success. This mismatched pair then travels the country trying to win an Elvis competition.
