Synopsis
Sixteen-year-old misfit Yoshiko has lived alone since her parents divorced. Her mother is now dead and her father is in hospital. To make ends meet, she works as a gardener's assistant but is determined to make it as a singer-songwriter someday. There are not a whole lot of options open to a girl like Yoshiko in her small town so she starts giving recorder lessons to three primary-school boys. The path to her dream is rife with stumbling blocks, however, she desperately tries to keep her focus.
