Synopsis

When a speeding car knocks a homeless waif unconscious for a few moments, the little boy has an unusual dream. Accompanied by a colonel, a dog, and a crow, he joins old Dr. Gulliver in a rocket trip to the planet of Hope. As they are approaching the planet, magnetic rays pull them to a nearby star where they are examined by strange scientists. They also encounter a dainty princess who tells them that she, her father, and the scientists are from the planet of Hope and that they are being held captive by robots. By accident, Dr. Gulliver and the little boy discover that, in this part of space, water will disintegrate solid matter. Armed with water pistols, they destroy the robots and free the people from the planet of Hope. Regaining consciousness, the little waif sets out to face life with renewed hope.
