Synopsis
Denton Ford, Jr., sentenced to prison for a crime committed by his father, is paroled after a year with the provision that, if he marries within 8 years, he must return to prison for 8 years. Denton goes to live with Joe Evans on an old schooner and saves Joan from drowning in a river. The homeless girl takes up residence on the schooner as well, and she and Denton are married. Jim Keefe, the parole officer, learns of the marriage but allows the couple to stay together, realizing their great love for each other.
