Synopsis

Franklyn Green, a correspondence-school detective working as a nightclerk in a hotel, comes to the aid of Miriam Holt when she checks into the hotel looking for $1 million in bonds stolen by her uncle, recently deceased. A quartet of crooks gets onto Miriam's trail, and Franklyn mistakes two of them for government postal inspectors. By chance, Franklyn discovers that they are crooks and, recovering the stolen bonds, turns them over to the police. Franklyn wins Miriam for his wife.
