Synopsis

Waldo Zhernikov, an unscrupulous accountant, decides to amalgamate the six gangs operating separately in the London protection rackets. He hires Harry Foulcher, one of the gang leaders, to organize the operation and then employs Paddy Damion to collect the payoffs. Damion is a handsome gangster involved with the two female singers at Foulcher's nightclub. When Waldo becomes greedy for bigger stakes, another of the gang leaders, Alf Peters, takes his mob out of the organization. Infuriated, Waldo has Foulcher kill Peters. This act enrages Paddy, who was a friend of Peters', and he, in turn, murders Foulcher. Detective Inspector Sayers, who has been trying to break up the organization, arrives following the murder of Foulcher. Paddy agrees to testify against Waldo and thereby brings about the downfall of the crime syndicate.
