Synopsis

Black businessman Ernie Jones is on trial in a Texas courtroom for the alleged rape of beautiful Greta Mae Hansen, a Swede who came to Texas as a Freedom Rider. The prosecution attempts to prove that Jones, the proprietor of a hotel where Greta was forced to take lodging after her friendship with blacks made it necessary for her to leave the YWCA, assaulted and raped her after winning her confidence and offering her a job as a model. The defense admits that Jones was intimate with Greta but claims she consented to the relationship. The judge charges the jury (the theater audience), and then the verdict is announced. The jury finds for the defendant, and the lawyers wonder if justice has been done.
