Synopsis
During World War II, two U. S. patrols are sent to destroy two German radar stations. The first unit accomplishes its goal and waits for the second unit before moving to the last German installation. When it becomes clear that the other U. S. patrol is not coming, it is left to the single unit to destroy the station. The lieutenant in charge of the unit refuses to order the attack because he believes it to be suicidal. After the lieutenant is killed, however, a sergeant leads the patrol on a successful assault on the radar station.
