Synopsis

About American R&B star Andre Williams on and off stage. During the late 1950s and early 1960s, he produced hits like "Bacon Fat," "Jail Bait" and "Shake a Tail Feather." At Motown, he mentored the young Stevie Wonder and collaborated with Barry Gordy. But by the 1980s, Williams found himself panhandling on the streets of Chicago. Currently, he has gotten things back on track and has been recording with the likes on Jon Spencer and tours the world performing to fans one-third his age. However, the years of drug and alcohol abuse have noticeably taken a toll on his mind and body. Here, we follow Williams through a tumultuous year on tour.
