Synopsis
Mr. Mollick, a total introvert, lives alone in his derelict ancestral mansion located in Dhaka, now hemmed in by high-rise apartment buildings. Real estate dealer Rafiq pesters him daily to demolish his property, making him lucrative offers. The old man is in a quandary because he is unable to maintain his sprawling premises. Ruba, his daughter and only child, returns from the U.S. to stay with him. Rafiq is persuaded to employ reformed killer Soleman as his gardener, but Soleman soon becomes the target of local thugs. Ruba's Australian-born cousin Asif is attracted to her, and she finds a friend in eccentric middle-aged neighbor Kichlu, who dries his brightly-colored briefs on his balcony.
