Synopsis
Aki Onodera, a 21-year-old student living in Tokyo, should be looking for a job but she is still haunted by the loss of her parents 18 years earlier. In her parents' belongings, she finds a map of a foreign country with a red mark highlighting a particular location. Despite her boyfriend's concern, Aki travels to Germany alone desperate for some closure. Once in East Allgaeu, she pays a visit to the local police station looking for directions and encounters 18-year-old Elias Weber, who is being questioned by the officers over a motorcycle incident. When his father, Johannes, comes to pick him up, the policeman asks him to give Aki a ride as her destination is near their house. Later that night, Elias and his sister run into Aki, looking for a place to stay. She ends up in the Weber house. Elias is drawn to the mysterious traveler, but his father is terrified that she will discover the fateful link between Aki and his family.
