Synopsis
Rommel accidentally kills a young boy and is sentenced to jail. There he meets with the warden who initiates him into the harsh reality of prison life. Soon, Rommel befriends several of his cellmates, including an older inmate who is reluctant to discuss his crime and a younger inmate who has a compulsion for cleanliness. Most important of all, Rommel befriends Esteban, the cell's honorary mayor whose reticence lends him a sense of mystery. As the new guy on the scene, Rommel becomes a target of the cell bully and Esteban comes to his defence. Seven years later, Rommel has been released and is living in the country as a farmer with his wife Sita. Esteban tracks Rommel down in hopes of renewing their old old friendship and perhaps rekindling the flame they once used to share. Rommell and Sita welcome Esteban into their lives until certain boundaries are crossed.
