Synopsis
Three elderly gamekeepers live in the country in the heart of nature. Far removed from the frantic pace of modern cities, pollution, and the values of the consumer society, they lead a quiet and self-sufficient life. Only a small TV set keeps them informed of what is happening in the world. Not much for conversation, they appreciate every experience nature has to offer. In winter, the three men live mainly inside their homes, warmed by the taste of brandy. The rest of the year they fish, collect fresh eggs from their feathered friends, and cook all the produce that nature so generously provides. When the occasional visitor arrives in this wild land, the three men do not change their ways, feeling closer to the animals and wildlife than to human beings.
