Synopsis
26-year-old medical student Marc travels to Cali, Columbia to complete his internship before graduating. As he is thrown through the airport door into the blinding light and noise of the tropical city, everything around him seems to promise freedom, adventure, and beautiful women. Even on his first day in the O.R., the danger of the conflict between rival gangs in the area is clear. His guest family tries to protect him from this dangerous world, but soon he becomes romantically involved with Wanda, a shop owner who tries to protect the local children who have become part of the drug trade. When the gang boss, El Juez, tries to recruit him as his private physician, Marc is brought into conflict with not only Wanda, but with the hospital. Suddenly Marc is in too deep to stay neutral. He realizes too late that his lust for adventure could have heavy consequences for the real lives of others.
