Synopsis
Thirty-five-year-old Luca Morandi is a young writer in search of inspiration, success and love. He is an adult but doesn't really feel like one; he's always looking back on the blessed childhood he spent in Italy with a whimsical, wonderful father, like a character in a fantasy world. At least that's what he believes. When his father, a plastic surgeon in Turin, dies suddenly, Luca goes to the funeral with his sister Isabella. But the burial turns into a nightmare involving widows, half-widows, mistresses, new brothers and sisters, enormous debts and a "Berlusconised" Italy. Luca rediscovers the country of his childhood and his legendary father through adult eyes. From hatred to love, from resentment to forgiveness, Luca redefines his sense of his own identity and existence and reconciles the France within him with his native Italy.
