Synopsis
Centers on a mining conflict taking place in the small town of Junin, Ecuador. The mining project, if developed by Ascendant Copper would prove extremely harmful to the town, causing massive deforestation, climate change, threatening endangered species and forcing hundreds of families to relocate. Explores the pressing issue of how the international mining projects are devastating the small town, uncovering the distressing conflicts that have torn both communities and families apart. Ascendant has recently been asked to suspend all their mining activities but has not yet been evacuated.
