Synopsis

Tied to his Aunt Mary's apron strings, Wally McCann is a spineless, effeminate youth who spends his time designing embroidery patterns, and though Helen Dane, who breeds polo ponies, is fond of him, she cold-shoulders him, hoping thus to make a man of him. Determined to make good as a farmer, Wally buys some land in Wyoming, near Helen's farm, and arrives in cowboy attire with his handyman, Pinkey Fripp. Wally is literally washed out by a cloudburst and is jailed for fighting while on a drunken spree. Later, he borrows money from the bank to purchase a dude ranch. Among the guests is Canby, who is in love with Helen and resents Wally's interference; plotting with Wong, the Chinese cook, Candy plans a series of mishaps which frighten the other guests and give Wally the opportunity to rescue a lady from a stampede. Enraged at Canby's perfidy, Wally fights him and compels him to take over the ranch, thus winning the admiration and love of Helen.
