Synopsis
About the entangling of hero worship and fatherhood told in two parts. The first, "The Suit," features a family living in London in the early 80s and shows how they cope (or don't) with the legacy of Elvis Presley. Ten-year-old Elvis suffers his father's tyrannical behavior--a policeman who just so happens to be obsessed with Elvis Presley. To maintain sanity, Elvis escapes into his bedroom shrine dedicated to Jimi Hendrix. The second half, "THE MESSIAH," takes place 17 years later. Derek is a disturbed recluse who also loves Hendrix and who has spun a myth that he is the long-lost son of a dying patriarch. Seeking his own salvation and to distract himself, he begins to attend a local church.
