Synopsis
Lalo, from a family of working class Mexican immigrants, and Stefanie, Dominican, meet in Brooklyn, having both felt the impact of the recently-transpired tragedy of 9/11. Lalo's father, a World Trade Center janitor, now works cleaning up debris from the fallen towers, while Stefanie feels a much deeper impact, having lost her sister in the attacks. In the midst of the family turmoil, the two teenagers meet and embark on a clandestine romance.
